The scientific programme includes updates on infectious diseases, travel health risks in Africa, emerging topics in travel medicine, including new technologies, climate change, wilderness medicine, travel and mental health, travel health insurance, and ethics.

Call for abstracts

The Scientific Programme Committee invites clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals, and policymakers, to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations.

 

Why Submit?

  • Contribute to evidence-based policy and practice

  • Engage with experts in travel medicine

 

Submissions from African-based investigators, early-career professionals, and multidisciplinary teams are strongly encouraged.

Important dates

  • Abstract submission deadline: 30 April 2026

  • Notification of acceptance: 31 May 2026

  • Presenter registration deadline: 30 June 2026.

    • Please note: To ensure program integrity, abstracts will be approved only after presenter registration is confirmed.
